I went out last night and fired a .22 rifle at the sky to celebrate and see if I could make it past all the light pollution in this state it was a clear late summer sky and I was alone but inside I could hear a heart beat and knew that I would soon have another soul to love and keep I went out last night and fired a shot in the dark and asked if I could sometime see you ignoring all that passed when the darker thoughts absorbed my mind and then a star was formed swirling in the center of a cosmic storm a child was born screaming on the porch-steps of an August door. the feeling has passed and and I am back inside my fingers shaking, I lie down avoiding contact with the mirror my eyes trace on the ground an hour goes by and I am so ashamed I should be saying prayers for you but waking seems so hard when my daydream-self won't have to move then the feeling has passed and thoughts turn back inside I try and fail to explain exactly what I meant when I said "I owe you all this pain" and then a star was formed swirling in the center of a cosmic storm a child was born screaming on the porch-steps of an August door. a star was formed swirling in the center of a cosmic storm a child was born screaming on the porch-steps of an August door.

Feast Day 04:35
relapsed catholic lights another candle to a so-so saint, his date is on the mantle it's a feast day feast day German pipes play ancient holy tunes while I dream green and golden in the pews of stained glass demons writhing at my feet and marble Christs which drown beneath the sea of time that spins like sand between your toes where no one mourns the sun when it explodes but awake, ye drunkards, and weep for the Lord has witnessed your sleep German pipes play ancient holy tunes while I dream green and golden in the pews of curses carved in branches of the trees and trash that swims in rain along the street of endless escalators towards the clouds where virgin girls scream holy fire out loud but awake, ye drunkards, and weep for the Lord has witnessed your sleep

about

Dark Globes Chicago, Illinois

William Neylon is born screaming hellfire in a Chicago hospital, Mayday 1987. Somewhere in a lavish greenroom across the country, Bob Dylan is pouring over the arrangement of "Shenandoah" that will eventually become a highlight of his least successful album of the decade. Michael Jackson ponders buying the Elephant Man's bones, and Nick Drake has been a ghost for 13 years. ... more
